Sunday Inspiration On The Keys to Success

We all want to succeed in this life, and no one likes failure. Success means different things to different people. To some success is achieving their vision or what they had planned. To others is to be wealthy, have a good job, have lots of money, live in a big house, or drive a big car. To others, success is having many followers and likes on social media. There is no ultimate definition of success and it is only you who can define what success is to you. What is success to you?

I am of the opinion that all the above factors are good but do not measure true success. This is because even wealthy people do fail. I am sure you have heard wealthy and famous people who are addicted to drugs and others are corrupt which in my view denotes failure. True success to me is when you live a life of integrity with inner peace and plenty of love and joy.  Integrity is when you honor your word. True success is when you are whole and achieve your purpose.

Regardless of your definition of success, we all agree that we want to succeed and progress every day. One of the keys to success is commitment. You must be committed to what you want to pursue or what you are passionate about for you to be successful. People don’t succeed arbitrarily, it takes diligence, hard work, and some sacrifice to succeed and progress in life. You must pay the price to be where you should be. The good book in 1 Timothy 4:15 says Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. There is no evident progress without commitment and diligence.

God rewards those who work hard as seen in Colossians 3:23-24 which says that Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. A diligent worker is definitely hard work. You must begin to work, for God blesses the work of your hands. The good book in Proverbs 10:4 says A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

This month of April’s purpose is to do something you are passionate about. A little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want, like an armed warrior(Proverbs 24: 33-34). God works with what you have, do not despise your small beginning. Keep working with dedication, commitment, and diligence, and watch it grow from one level to another. Be devoted to what you are doing and you will succeed. God bless you.
